Simple Daily Care Protects the Finished Surface
Everyday Use
- Clean spills with a soft cloth and mild soap or a cleaner suitable for quartz.
- Use cutting boards rather than cutting directly on the surface.
- Use trivets or heat protection for hot cookware.
After Installation
- Follow the care guidance supplied with the selected quartz.
- Avoid harsh or abrasive products unless approved for that surface.
- Protect edges from heavy impact, especially around exposed corners and cutouts.

Questions Before You Request a Countertop Estimate
What is included in an installed quartz quote?
Ask whether templating, material, fabrication, edges, openings, delivery and installation are included. Confirm removal, disposal, plumbing reconnection, backsplash and waterfall details separately rather than assuming a square-foot rate covers everything.
Will my quartz countertop have a seam?
It may. Slab dimensions, layout, access and fabrication requirements affect seams. Discuss likely seam locations and appearance before approving the final fabrication plan.
Do I choose the sink before quartz is measured?
Choose the exact sink model before fabrication details are finalized. The fabricator needs its requirements and the installed cabinet conditions to coordinate the opening, reveal and support.
Can I put hot pans directly on quartz?
Use trivets and follow the selected manufacturer's care instructions. Quartz is practical for daily use, but it should not be treated as immune to heat, impact or chemicals.
Can I reuse my existing sink or change its style?
It depends on the sink's condition, cabinet space, plumbing and fabrication requirements. Share its make/model or photos early so reuse or replacement can be included in the scope.
Why can a full-height quartz backsplash cost more?
It requires additional material, fabrication, openings and installation planning. Compare a complete quartz-backsplash scope with the selected tile alternative rather than comparing material prices alone.
